The highlight of January had to be all the snow! There is something so exciting about the first major snowfall of the season, and the boys were jumping out of their skin to get outside and play! Timmy got right to doing what he does best: shoveling, of course! The downside to all the excitement was the frozen rain, power outages and falling limbs that came a few days later, forcing us to stay inside watching Thomas the Train and baking more cookies than I'd like to admit. Nevertheless, the first couple of days were a blast!
We even played outside as a family for awhile (little Max braved the snow like a champ), and took a walk to visit Bumps and Grammy and drink hot chocolate before we headed back out to play. My Dad always makes me a mocha which is a big fat "like!" Chocolate is good, but chocolate with coffee? My happy place.

Tim pulled the kids all around the neighborhood with some sort of rope he attached to the sled. Some might call this ghetto...I call this awesome! Look how much Colbie loved the snow. The boys laughed and laughed watching her zoom around all over the place. At one point I thought we might have lost her, the snow got so deep. Thankfully I don't wash her enough so her white fur seems to be tinted to some sort of off-white tone and we were able to spot her. Phew.
The boys wanted to go out in the evenings and play....and we absolutely let them! Snow only comes like once a year around here!

Hah! Ghetto? Us too - you should check my blog out...Tom fired up an old John Deere tractor and attached a rope to our neighbor's tube and pulled them all over up and down the street! They had so much fun and my face hurt from smiling and laughing all afternoon! Aren't those kind of days so fun with little ones!!!
